Common questions

Why are routes sometimes different from Google Maps?

CarFree can use different timing windows, live feed freshness, and provider responses. Transit choices can shift minute to minute.

Why is real-time transit data missing?

Some provider feeds are delayed or temporarily unavailable upstream, which can remove live signals until the feed stabilizes again.

Trip guidance note

On Android, the current release is designed to be most reliable while CarFree stays open on screen during an active trip. Keep the app open for the strongest live guidance experience.
